  The Monumental Axis ("Eixo Monumental" in Portuguese) is a central avenue inBrasília's city design. The avenue begins on the National Congress of Brazil building and is considered part of the DF-002 road. Its first section is known as "Ministries Esplanade" ("Esplanada dos Ministérios"), as it is surrounded by ministries buildings. Many important governmentbuildings, monuments and memorials are located on the Monumental Axis. A common urban legend persists that the Monumental Axis is the widest road in the world, where "[100 to 160] cars can drive side by side". This is untrue, as the road consists of two avenues with six lanes on either side; a total of twelve lanes. However, it was in the Guinness Book of Records as having the widest central reservation of adual carriageway in the world. On April 21, 2008 the Mexican extinct group RBD performed a free concert to a crowd of 500.000^[1] during Empezar Desde Cero Tour 2008. The show was to celebrate the 48th Anniversary of Brasilia. It was recorded and released as a DVD titled : Live in Brasilia. It was the biggest concert the group had ever perform to.

STOPPED CLOCK ILLUSION: Sometimes, When You look At A Clock Time Seems To Stand Still .

Has it ever happened that you are in the middle of some serious work and suddenly your eyes look up to the clock on the wall and you find the second hand of the clock to be still, as if it has just taken a break in a moment of laziness? And after this moment , the clock ticks normally and the time restarts. If yes, you do not have to worry and think too much about it. It is a normal experience that the psychologists name the stopped clock illusion. An ingenious experiment from a team at University College London recreated the experience in the lab by asking the volunteers to look away and then suddenly shift their gaze to a digital counter. When the subjects tried to judge how long they had been looking at the digit that first appeared, they systematically assumed it had been on for longer than it had. In this manner, the team managed to connect the experience of the stopped clock to the action of the person experiencing it. The explanation is as follows:

The action of moving our eyes from one point to another is extremely quick that most of us do not pay heed to what we are doing. But there is a momentary break in visual experience when you move your eyes from one point to another. Suppose, you stretch your arms out and move your eyes between the two index fingers and as you flick your eyes from left to right you will be able to detect an almost invisibly brief flash of darkness as input from your eyes is cut off. This brief interruption in your consciousness causes the stopped clock illusion.

The theory lies in the fact that our brains tend to build stories about the world from the ongoing input of our senses. The break in information caused by the rapid eye movement need to be covered up, thus the brain fills this gap with whatever comes after the break. The UCL team also showed that the longer the eye movements, longer are the pauses in the stopped clock. Normally this subterfuge is undetectable, but if move your eyes to something that is moving with precise regularity, a clock for instance, you will spot this pause in the form of an extra long second.

Such illusions are created by a shift of attention. One is the dead phone illusion where in you pick up an old-fashioned phone and catch an initial pause between the dial tone that seems to last longer than the others. These illusions depict that something as simple as the time passing experience is constructed by our brains. Like with everything else, what we experience is our brain's best guess about the world. We are all time travelers, in the sense that we don't ever get to know time directly.™

In Thailand, a buffalo gave birth to a human-like baby. This is a photo of a buffalo very similar to human especially its face which is dominantly similar to human. However, its hands and feets are more like a buffalo. But overall the buffalo-boy has most organs of a cow having human shaped.

It has passed away immediately after it was born. Thais believe this is some sort of phenomenon that brings luck and everyone in that village were praying for blessings. The face of this mystery human-like baby buffalo was totally deformed that I can’t know whether it looks like a buffalo or human face.™

While some sharks can pump water over their gills simply by opening and closing their mouths,but white sharks are among those that have to keep moving in order to avoid death by oxygen deprivation. Just as reducing the amount of oxygenated water flowing over the shark’s gills will weaken a shark by reducing the amount of oxygen its body is receiving.If a white shark stops swimming, its body will receive none of the oxygen it needs and it will therefore die.™

5000 Ducks Cause Epic Traffic Jam In China.

All of us have been stuck in a traffic jam. But only a few of us have been stuck in a traffic jam caused by a waddling horde of 5,000 ducks.

In chinese city of Taizhou,a farmer blocked a road with this 5,000 ducks when he relocated his enormous flock to a nearby pond, with help from only a long wooden pole and a couple of assistants.

According to local media, the farmer boasted that he didn't lose a single duck on the three-quarters-of-a-mile journey.™
